Operating System Updates

FuelCloud will occasionally require Operating System Updates for CloudBox 2 devices. Admin users will be notified via email when a new Operating System is available.

Similar to Firmware Updates, the Operating System update occurs within the Mobile Apps. The main difference of Operating System updates to Firmware updates, however, is that the Operating System update is much larger and requires the update to be downloaded to the app before installing on the CloudBox 2.

  • Open the FuelCloud App
  • Tap on the Menu
  • In the Menu tap the Updates section

  • On the Updates screen, tap the latest OS version to download the OS update
    • MDM iPads can only download the OS file over WiFi
    • Non-MDM devices can download the OS file over Cellular (may incur additional charges from cellular service provider) or WiFi
      • In areas where cellular service is weak, downloading the OS file can take up to 10 minutes
  • Return to the Pump list in the FuelCloud App and select a CloudBox 2 pump
  • Enter your Admin PIN
    • NOTE: To locate your Admin PIN, go to the My Account section in your Web Portal account
  • On the Admin dashboard, tap Install OS Update

  • The FuelCloud App will carry out the update and provide info on the current stage

  • When the Update completes, tap Done
