CloudBox 2 Operating Systems typically go through a Beta release with a small group of hand-selected customers before being fully released to the public in order to verify that the new Operating System meets its intended goals.
The core difference with a Beta OS release compared to a public release is that Beta OS releases are distributed via a download link that is sent directly to the relevant Web Portal Administrators of customers participating in Beta testing.
Once a customer is added to the Beta OS test group, the following steps must occur to update the CloudBox 2.
Download the CB2 Beta OS Update
- On a device with the FuelCloud app installed, tap the Beta OS Link (Typically received via email or SMS message)
- You will be redirected to the FuelCloud app. Connect to a strong WiFi internet connection or accept the cellular data usage to start the Download.
- When the download finishes tap Done.
NOTE: If the FuelCloud app is not installed on your device, you will first be redirected to the App Store / Google Play Store.
Install the CB2 Beta OS Update
- With the device where the Beta OS file is downloaded, stand next to the CloudBox 2 device
- Select any pump connected to the CloudBox 2, enter your Admin PIN and tap the Install Beta OS option to start the Beta OS Installation process
NOTE: If the Install Beta OS button is not available, contact support@fuelcloud.com to verify you have the correct download link and your company is added to the Beta test group.
- The App will then send and install the Beta OS update to the CloudBox 2. Please note that this process can take up to 15 minutes to complete.
- Tap Done to complete the Installation. Pumps can now be used again as normal.
