Connecting the CloudBox to a Local Wi-Fi Network (Infrastructure Mode)

Prerequisites

  • CloudBox 1.0-2.0
  • CloudBox 1.0-1.4 firmware is  3.57 or higher
  • CloudBox 2 OS is on 1.0 or higher 
    • Can be checked in the devices page on the FuelCloud website.

Installation

  1. Connect to the FuelCloud Wi-Fi network on a laptop or phone. The Wi-Fi SSID will be FuelCloud_XXXXX where XXXXX are the last five digits of the CloudBox serial number.
  2. Open a web browser (Internet Explorer cannot be used).
  3. Navigate to 192.168.21.5:
  4. Select Settings on the left pane:

    1. Username: admin
    2. Password: Cloud_XXXXX
    3. XXXXX = last five digits of the serial number
  6. Select Infrastructure Mode:
  7. Available Wi-Fi networks will appear on the right pane:
  8. Select the Wi-Fi network you would like to join and a popup will ask for the Wi-Fi password:
  9. A new popup will ask if you want to apply the password for the Wi-Fi network. Select OK.
  10. Click Save at the bottom of the screen:
  11. A new page will show the details of the CloudBox changing from an access point to a client of the local Wi-Fi network:
  12. The CloudBox will restart and connect to the new network after ~45 seconds. If connected the CloudBox will have a green or yellow status LED.
    1. If the CloudBox could not connect a rapid flashing yellow LED will show. To restart hold the reset button until the status LED turns from blue to yellow. You can then go back to step 1 to try again.
