FuelCloud Mobile Device Management (MDM)- Resetting your iPad

FuelCloud provided mobile devices are equipped with a Mobile Device Management system (MDM). This restricts the device from downloading additional apps. The home screen will be limited to the FuelCloud App and Settings. FuelCloud app updates should automatically download. See attached for detailed instructions. 

 

PadOS 18

  1. Press the home button.
  2. Touch the settings button:Home.jpg
  3. Touch General then scroll down on the right to Transfer or Reset iPad:General.jpg
  4. Touch Erase All Contents and Settings:Erase_All_Contents_and_Settings.jpg
  5. Touch Continue: Erase_All_Contents_and_Settings_Comtinue.jpg
  6. Touch Erase iPad: Erase_All_Contents_and_Settings_Erase_iPad.jpg
  7. The iPad will now restart multiple times while showing the Apple logo and progress bar.
  8. Press the home button:Press_home.jpg
  9. Touch English: English.jpg
  10. Selected United States:United_States.jpg
  11. Select Continue: Appearance.jpg
  12. Select Set Up Without Another Device:Set_Up.jpg
  13. Scroll down and select Continue Without Wi-Fi. Do Not Connect to the FuelCloud Wi-Fi network:Set_Up.jpg
  14. Select Continue: Continue_Without_Wi-Fi_Continue.jpg
  15. Select Enroll This iPad:Enroll_this_iPad.jpg
  16. Select: Turn On Location Services:Location.jpg
  17. Open the Settings App:Home_2.jpg
  18. Select Cellular on the left pane:Cellular.jpg
  19. Touch Cellular Data Options and make sure Roaming is Enabled:Roaming.jpg
  20. Press the home button and open the FuelCloud app once it has downloaded and installed:Download.jpg
  21. Allow Bluetooth: Bluetooth.jpg
  22. Touch Allow notifications:Notifications.jpg
  23. Touch Allow FuelCloud to find Bluetooth devices:Bluetooth_2.jpg
  24. Touch Continue: Permissions.jpg
  25. Touch Allow local network:Local_Network.jpg
  26. Touch Start Fueling: Start_Fueling.jpg


iPadOS 16 & 17

iPadOS 26

iPads updated to iPadOS 26 can be migrated without erasing the device using Apple Business manager following this guide.

 

NOTE

iPads with Hologram SIMs will require a Wi-Fi network or a hotspot for activation and re-enrollment
