Otodata Update Transactions
Due to the way Otodata collects readings from their tank monitors and transfers that information through their API it is a normal occurrence for readings to take 30+ mins to hit the FuelCloud System. The delay in readings also peaks at certain times of day as more reading go through the Otodata system.
Delayed Update Transactions
- Delayed update transactions are transactions that are sent to FuelCloud more than 7 minutes after the reading was recorded on the tank monitor.
- For these transactions, FuelCloud will show the volume, cost, and inventory after. They will be labeled as "Delayed Update".
- If other transactions were recorded on that tank in the time between the reading and when it was uploaded, the Admin will need to Reconcile the transactions following the Otodata Update transaction.
- For this type of reconciliation the Admin should select the Otodata Update itself as the starting checkpoint.
Back & Forth Changes in inventory
- If you notice a slight back and forth variation in inventory this is normally due to temperature changes, it can make a 1-2% change on the dial and Otodata adjusts accordingly to what is read.
